A 1897 PATTERN INFANTRY SWORD TO THE 4TH WEST YORK REGIMENT

With straight single-edged blade etched with foliate scrolls, crowned VR cypher, and inscribed “4th W.Y. Regiment from C.A. 1898”, the steel hilt with full bowl guard pierced and etched with crowned monogram and foliage, retaining leather-covered grip bound with twisted wire, and complete with its brown leather field scabbard, overall length 100cm
