Footnote
William Regester (1848-1929) was born in Hampton Wick, Middlesex. He was educated at Kingston Grammar School and University College, London. He was a Fellow of the Chemical Society. He was a JP in Middlesex and Chairman of the Middlesex County Council 1909-19. In 1910 he was Treasurer of the Committee charged with selecting a Middlesex memorial to King Edward VII.
