Please note the work is on paper laid on canvas, not as previously catalogued; various surface abrasions: in the woman's hair, upper left; to the upper left corner; off the right hand border, and lower left corner; two pin holes off the lower border; traces of discoloured varnish. Ultraviolet light reveals an uneven varnish which prevents conclusive examination.
