20th Century
Painted black with age-worn surface, rusting and remnants of old adhesive. Beckett & Sons were known builders of industrial locomotives and stationary engines. No. 2072 likely relates to a wartime or immediate post-war industrial order, possibly for a narrow gauge or private colliery railway. 39cm wide
This plate comes from a saddle tank engine, Ordered by the Ministry of supply at Ormiston. Later…

From GWR/BR Collett 8100 Class 2-6-2T locomotive, built at Swindon in 1938. This was the very first of the 8100–8199 series, a development of the 6100 Class with minor modifications for mixed traffic use. Mostly allocated to Western Region sheds including South Wales and the West Country, with withdrawal beginning in the early 1960s. 51cm wide

From a GWR 9400 class of steam locomotives, with 0‑6‑0 Pannier Tank. The Number 9490 was among those built by the Yorkshire Engine Company under subcontract in the mid‑1950s. Specifically, the 9490‑9499 batch was made in 1954–1955. These locos were built for branch line and shunting work until being retired from the 1960's onwards. 50cm wide
