Painted black with age-worn surface, rusting and remnants of old adhesive. Beckett & Sons were known builders of industrial locomotives and stationary engines. No. 2072 likely relates to a wartime or immediate post-war industrial order, possibly for a narrow gauge or private colliery railway. 39cm wide

This plate comes from a saddle tank engine, Ordered by the Ministry of supply at Ormiston. Later used by the Royal Ordinance factory at Sellafield then scrapped.
