Both kings stamped ‘JAQUES LONDON’, and one rook and knight of each side marked with a red crown, the mahogany box with green label with facsimile signature of Howard Staunton to the interior lid, box - 21cm wide, the king, 9cm high, the pawn, 5cm high, with a spare black pawn

Condition report:
Overall in good condition but there is a possibility that the white queen is a good replacement. the baise is replaced or new and the nature of the timber is different with a more prominent grain. See images. The kings finials could easily be replaced and well done but often these are repaired. Please see extra images.
The black bishops’ mitres both with a slight nick inside the mitre slit, see images, to one side.
Some very small shrinkage cracks to the odd piece, see images.
