With two barrels and deadbeat escapement, signed with painted bronze panel in relief  J. W. BENSON, LUDGATE HILL, LONDON to the left side and CLOCKMAKER TO H. R. H. THE PRINCE OF WALES to the right side, mounted with later exhibition dial and motion work, on a later square section wrought-iron stand

Condition report

In unrestored condition.  Steel work corroded. With red-painted wood-rod pendulum.  Two cast-iron weights.  No crank key.
