John Bailey (d. 1869) established the firm in Oldfield Road, Salford around 1832.  It continued after his death with his son William.  See Edmund Davies, Greater Manchester Clocks & Clockmakers, Mayfield 2007, p.89-91. for a brief history of the firm.

Condition report

In unrestored condition.  Steelwork corroded.  No pendulum. One crank key.
