Modelled as two figures carrying a sedan chair standing on a lapis lazuli set shaped platform base, the dial with blue enamelled Roman numerals, the case-back decorated with a bird in polychrome enamels, with a coral bead urn style finial, 18.5cm wide x 20.5cm high


Provenance: Hylda and Lewis Gilbert, Sheldrake Place, London. 

Lewis Gilbert (d.2018), the celebrated film director, producer and screenwriter, best known for his 007 James Bond movies and Alfie.

The coral is approx 15.5mm, however it has been cut out to have the silver finial
