"During an interval between the races on Thursday the president of the club Mr J. W. Brumley took an opportunity of calling some of the committee together for a purpose of presenting the honorary secretary Mr T Stirling with a handsome gold repeater chronometer watch which had been purchased out of a vote of £25 passed at the annual meeting to obtain some memento of the services Mr Stirling had rendered to the society as honorary secretary. The watch was greatly admired and after a few congratulatory words of adjournment was made to the booth for the purpose of christening it"
CONDITION REPORT
Stop watch function works erratically, quarter repeating mechanism is working, the bezel to the dial is not fitting as it should and is currently loose, shallow denting to case back, movement currently working but would benefit from cleaning, denting to side of case where the inner and outer back cases close, inner case badly dented and is of thin gauge. Small piece of gold is missing from where the front bezel should fit in place
