The case with an arched pediment above glazed dial door, flanked by columns,  the trunk inset with an astragal glazed door, between canted angles on a panelled base and stepped plinth, the 12 ½ in. dial with engraved and pierced filigree decoration, signed, and with two subsidiaries for Chime/Silent and Westminster/Whittington, strike/silent lever to the 9, and with seconds subsidiary, the substantial three train movement with screwed pillars, stoned plates, deadbeat escapement, chiming the quarters on eight hammers and the hours on a larger hammer, together with six of the eight quarter chiming tubes, lacking the hour tube
