The case with inverted bell top and foliate cast handle, above moulded pediment, the panel door with gilt-brass ogee moulded surround and pierced cast spandrels, flanked to each side by a circular cast roundel and lower rectangular panel, on stepped base and four brass block feet, the 7 in. arched brass dial with strike/silent subsidiary, above silvered chapter ring, with mask spandrels, enclosing a matted centre, false pendulum aperture with signature escutcheon below and date aperture, blued steel pierced hands, the twin train chain fusée movement, later converted to anchor escapement, with foliate engraved backplate, quarter repeating on a carillon of six bells and striking the hours on a larger bell, with pendulum locking block
