The deeply moulded cornice above glazed ivory scales and inset thermometer to the trunk, brass turned reservoir
95 cm high
CONDITION REPORT
The barometer appears to be in original condition. The brass vernier adjustment finial has been replaced. The silvered scale is tarnished and ‘grainy’. The tube appears to be the original and is a tight fit and the right shape for the scale. There is mercury in the tube and some which is held at the terminal end . I suspect some mercury may be lost and has the reservoir then possibly leaked at some time?
