Condition Report
The canvas has been relined but has come loose from the stretcher in the lower left corner. There is a small puncture to the canvas, upper left; a horizontal ridge running the length of the canvas off the lower border. Vertical abrasion or repair, upper left and lower right, further surface abrasions elsewhere. A few scattered flecks of surface staining. Extensive craquelure and shrinkage to bitumen throughout. Recent varnish which prevents reading under ultraviolet.
