The box cover inlaid with a watery landscape flanked by Classical ruins with ivory Corinthian capitals, the front with a trophy inlaid with mother-of-pearl, the reverse and sides with music instrument trophies, 32cm wide; 22cm deep; 17cm high; the interior with mirror to hinged cover, fitted with three Mennecy Factory pomade pots and covers, decorated with floral sprigs, circa 1755-60, the largest, 8.5cm high
