With swan-neck pediment and central brass urn finial above a hydrometer, with tapering trunk inset with a removable thermometer scale, the silvered 12in dial engraved to the centre with a star and marked 28 - 31 with divided scale to two decimal points, pierced blued steel hands and brass setting hand, above waisted base inset with signature panel and a level, 122 cm high
