David Goode’s Goblin Series of sculptures evolved from his earlier work, Snailmaker, which was first launched at the Chelsea Flower Show in 1995. Shortly after, he became a freelance figurative sculptor. This particular Goblin water feature is among a wide range of characters within the theme of the mysterious and mischievous goblin, and is named ‘To Isabel’, his daughter.
After studying at the Sir Henry School of Sculpture from the age of 18, David became successful portrait sculptor at the renowned Madame Tussaud’s from 1988, where he was, at the time, the youngest person to do so.
