Princess Diana is believed to have visited Leicester in May 1986 when officially opening the LOROS Hospice in Leicester that offers terminal care. This unsigned photograph was gifted to LASS on this visit. East Midlands Sexual Health was formerly known as Leicestershire Aids Support Services.
This image was taken by Terence Donovan in 1986, who subsequently took two more portraits of Princess Diana in 1987. See the National Gallery website, ref. NPG P716(1).
