Original red pictorial buckram gilt, top edges gilt, pink pictorial endpapers (without the dust-jacket). A FINE COPY OF THE FIRST EDITION. The author's introduction ends with the following post scriptum: "Pooh wants us to say that he thought it was a different book; and he hopes you won't mind, but he walked through it one day, looking for his friend Piglet, and sat down on some of the pages by mistake." With the same author's Two People (London, 1931, 8vo, original grey buckram with green cloth labels on the upper cover and the spine, pale green dust-jacket with price of 7/6 on the backstrip).
