Half title, additional hand-coloured lithographed title, 42 hand-coloured lithographed plates by Henry Noel Humphreys (some light spotting and staining). Contemporary black half calf, spine gilt with red morocco lettering-piece (heavily rubbed and scuffed, corners worn, front free endpaper brown and spotted). Provenance: Mr Floyer Cornish, June 1st 1847 & Arthur Marshall (old signatures on front free endpaper). William Floyer Cornish (1769-1858) was Rector of Hooke, Dorset, from 1827 until his death. Arthur Marshall was his nephew. FIRST EDITION. Nissen ZBI 2049.
