Moody, 3 plates, wood-engraved vignettes, errata slip, 34-pages of local business advertisements at the end (some light mainly marginal spotting and browning). Original burgundy cloth lettered in gilt and decorated in blind (upper joints split, some signatures starting, some erosion to head and foot of spine). Provenance: "Alderman A. Windsor Spice, Mayor of Reigate, with best wishes from the Reigate Borough Sea Cadet Corps, [?]R. R. [?]Rowell, Chairman, Sept. 1944" (inscription on front free endpaper). FIRST EDITION. RARE.
