Engraved illustration on title, printed in red and black throughout, 9 full-page engraved illustrations with engraved pictorial border around the text on the opposite page, musical notation printed in red and black, historiated initials, ornaments, tables, engraved printer's device at the end (variable scattered mainly marginal worming throughout, one leaf with engraved pictorial border heavily stained, some mainly marginal staining). Contemporary panelled calf over boards, red edges (rebacked, wormed, heavily rubbed, inner hinges reinforced). Provenance: J. A. Ormerod (armorial bookplate); "Ex libris Antonii Symondson" (modern label with a design in the manner of Aubrey Beardsley). With Missale novum Romanum ([Kempten], 1734, folio, full-page engraved illustrations, printed in red and black throughout (stained), contemporary calf with elaborate baroque clasps and fitments, unusual turquoise floral pastedowns).
