Contemporary elaborately blind-stamped panelled vellum with central portrait on upper cover and coat-of-arms of John Frederick I, Elector of Saxony, on lower cover, spine with 5 raised bands and title in old manuscript, red edges (rubbed and scuffed, corners bumped). Provenance: old illegible inscription on front free endpaper; old signature on title; some old annotation and underlining to the text.
