Tables, 279 engraved plates, charts and maps, 4 of which folding (a few plates re-margined at fore-edge with some cropping to engraved frames, text variably browned, spotted and stained, but plates generally clean). Contemporary half calf and marbled boards, spines gilt, yellow edges (boards detached from plate vol., rubbed and scuffed). "This work constitutes one of the best records of the state of natural sciences in the first quarter of the 19th-century ...
