The glazed case with push/repeat, with baluster handle, above a large rectangular panel revealing the skeletonised lever escapement, the silvered dial detailed McCabe, London, with blued steel Breguet moon hands, seconds subsidiary at XII o’clock and with alarm setting aperture below VI o’clock and two further subsidiaries for day and date, striking and repeating the hour on a bell mounted on the backplate and the alarm bell in the base
