Contemporary or original paper-backed blue paper boards, uncut (spine and corners rubbed). Provenance: From the Collection of the late Countess Bunny Esterhazy (1938-2021); "GLOUCESTER" (crowned armorial bookplate); some old inconspicuous annotation to p.130 and p.135; "Very scarce fine uncut copy" (later pencil inscription on front free endpaper). FIRST EDITION. Not in Huth, although, confusingly, on p.80, the bibliographer cites a work of 1811 attributed to one George Hanby Morland with a similar title ("The Genealogy of the English Racer from the earliest times, to the Period of the Introduction of Foreign Blood into England ...").
