Mounted coloured frontispiece and 24 plates by Hugh Thomson, illustrations. Original elaborate coloured pictorial vellum gilt, top edges gilt, others uncut (lacks silk ties). Provenance: some pencil annotation to front pastedown and front free endpaper. NUMBER 273 OF 350 COPIES SIGNED BY THE ARTIST. With Izaak Walton's The Compleat Angler (London, 1931, 4to, 12 coloured plates by Arthur Rackham, original blue pictorial cloth gilt, first trade edition). Provenance: The Property of the late Frank Graham (1913-2006, modern bookplate), and thence by descent.
