Original red pictorial cloth gilt, yellow endpapers (black ink stain to upper cover, some other small ink stains, lightly rubbed). Provenance: "Full of French errors, C.W.B." A Picture Book for Children (London, [n.d.], 4to, 16 chromolithographed plates, with numerous chromolithographed cut-outs and cards pasted onto the blank pages (stained and spotted), "Album Francais" [Title in manuscript] ([No place, n.d.], 4to, containing 52 fine chromolithographed plates of seemingly unrelated portraits and narrative scenes, attractively-bound in contemporary straight-grained burgundy morocco gilt (scratched and scuffed) and Robert Burn's Tam O' Shanter. A Tale in Verse (London, 1895, 4to, coloured illustrations and decorations by George Cruikshank, original coloured pictorial boards).
