Large 8vo (219 x 140mm). Half title, diagrams, illustrations and tables (occasional very light spotting and staining). Contemporary cloth-backed marbled boards, spine gilt (rubbed and scuffed). Provenance: "C. Weidig. Pianofortefabrik. Jena" (old stamp on front free endpaper); some old marginal highlighting; from the Collection of Peter and Margarethe Braune. FIRST EDITION.
