Original green printed stiff wrappers, dust-jacket designed by the author (jacket with piece torn away from lower wrapper, some fraying to upper edge, stain to small section of lower edge). FIRST EDITION, first issue, with title border, price of 1,500 Francs printed on the lower wrapper and on rear turn-in of wrapper, and with "76 1" printed at the foot of the front free endpaper. "The Naked Lunch[,] generally considered to be the great 'secret' novel of the self-styled beat generation, has not been published as a whole until now: some extracts which were to appear in The Chicago Review have caused the University of Chicago to suppress this quarterly ..."
