Half titles, 2 coloured frontispieces and 16 half tone plates (some mainly marginal spotting, staining and browning, ink mark in margin of op.90 of vol. one). Original green cloth gilt with oval portraits and facsimile signatures of Michael Collins stamped in gilt on upper covers (inner hinges split and very weak, joints frayed and split, stained and faded). Provenance: "J. J. Fleming, Castlerea, Co. Roscommon" (signature on contents leaf of vol. one); later pencil address added. FIRST EDITION. (2)
