BEETHOVEN, Ludvig van (1770-1827).  Sonata per il Piano-forte ed un Violino obligato, scritta in uno stile molto concertante, quasi come d'un concerto. Composta e dedicata al suo amico R. Kreuzer [sic] Membro del Conservatorio di Musica in Parigi, Primo Violino dell' Academia delle Arti, e della Camera imperiale. Bonn and Paris: chez N. Simrock et H. Simrock, [n.d. but 1805]. Oblong 4to (270 x 348mm). Engraved upper wrapper, engraved musical notation for the piano and violin parts (some spotting and staining). Stitched (some stitching broken), unbound as issued. Provenance: "Theune, Amsterdam" (stamp at lower margin of title); from the Collection of the late Dr Elkan Lewis (1931-2020). FIRST EDITION of the "Kreutzer Sonata", the later issue with corrections ("uno" and "per") on the title, and, unusually, including both the piano and violin parts: the latter are often lacking.
