Condition report:
Inevitable wear commensurate to age and use. Some wear to the detail of the carving, notably to the hinged lid, thumb piece and handle. A natural indentation to the handle.
Some old worm holes to the body, apparently inactive.
Natural knots and wear to the body. The patination to the timber is quite dry.
Wear and scuffs to the feet as to be expected.
The handle is a little loose, also as to be expected, given the pegging visible inside.
