A VICTORIAN GILT BRASS EAGLE LECTERN

The circular stepped base leading up to a columnar knopped shaft, surmounted by a large eagle standing on an orb with wings and tail adjoining a horizontal book rail, 160cm high

Condition report: 

There are the inevitable scuffs, scratches, dents, small chips and marks commensurate with wear, use and age.

The foot is not missing - it is a tripartite foot. 

The orb is in relatively good condition. There are various scuffs and scratches. Two holes to the column above the spreading foot. A slight kink to one of the ring turnings and a slight ding to this area of the column. 

Residue polish. 

The eagle does not rotate. 

It was transported as one whole piece, formerly in a parish church.
