The reverse of the principal seven shaped rectangular panels decorated with varicoloured Jaipur style enamel, with foliate and bird motifs, the gem set fronts on a gold ground with blue enamelled ornamentation, heavily loaded with composition, the front with pendant fringe freshwater pearls, the panels measuring 19cm in length, on a textile cord fittings measuring a further 64cm excluding the tassel

Unfortunately we are unable to test the item, as we use acid to determine the carat of the gold so this would be impossible to do on this item without damaging the enamel or the pearls and gemstones. The necklace is not marked anywhere, so we would be unable to say for certain what carat this is.
