Also known as the Pancrastinae, this is a famous Roman sculpted marble group copying a lost Greek original, dating from the 3rd Century BCE. The Roman version was discovered in 1583 near the Porta S. Giovanni, Rome, bought by the Medici Family of Florence and now in the Uffizi Gallery.
