AN EXTENSIVE COALPORT `JAPAN' PATTERN PART DINNER SERVICE WITH SOME LATER COPELAND REPLACEMENTS (95)

Circa 1810 and mid 19th century
Each piece painted with a central flower panel inside a radiating border reserved with panels of birds and flowers, comprising; Two oval soup tureens and covers, 32cm wide; forty eight dinner plates, 24cm diameter; twenty four soup plates, 25cm diameter; eight serving dishes in sizes, 27cm to 50cm wide; three rectangular vegetable dishes and one cover, 25cm wide; a pair of sauce tureens, covers and three stands

Soup Tureens and covers- both are Coalport. Each tureen has damage to one handle. One tureen has a crack to the rim, approx.8cm length. Some wear to the gilding. Each cover with a long haircrack to the rim. One also has a rim chip. Some wear to the gilding.

48 Dinner plates- 21 are Copeland, the majority with green printed factory marks. 20 of the Coalport plates are in overall good condition with some typical wear consistent with age. The rest of the plates with some wear, chips and/or haircracks

24 Soup plates- all Coalport. 10 in overall good condition with some typical wear. The remainder with haircracks, mostly starcracks to the centres. Minor chiips

3 Vegetable dishes and 1 cover- 2 dishes are damaged and the other is stained. The cover has been broken and glued

8 Serving dishes- all Coalport. The largest with rivetted repairs. The remainder with some wear.

2 Saucer tureens and covers- Coalport. One tureen with a chip and a crack to the rim. Both with some wear. The covers with some wear
3 stands- one with a rim chip. Each with some wear
