CONDITION REPORT:
Numerous later elements and parts, including:
Featherbanded top is later veneered.
Later feet.
Later metal work.
Later arched section to the knee hole.
Possibly a later section below the top.
The sides and door look to be elm.
Overall with marks, stains some fading, old scuffs, small chips and dents overall, including the top with a few ring marks and a darker stain to the left.
Some shrinkage as to be expected, notably to the moulding and other areas. Some elements of moulding loose. The bottom edge moulding with various chips and wider shrinkage gaps. Section of moulding missing from the left hand side, bottom back edge.
The top slightly lifting off the base at either side (see photographs)
Some signs of old worm.
Overall surfaces have been cleaned at some point.
