By repute from a monastery in Guernsey and carved by the workshop of Ferdinand Stuflesser.
Condition report:
Wear and tear commensurate with age and use.
Lime washed at some point.
Various shrinkage cracks and movement to timber, including a few small chips and losses in areas, an obvious loss to the edge of one panel of Christ being crowned, shrinkage split to back and smaller elements chipped.
Some have been affected by damp with some staining, dark patches and general discolouration. Some with various wood worm holes. One in particular with damp and worm damage depicting a presentation of Christ.
