Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Condition Report: The agate seems to fit fairly comfortably in the setting but is probably a replacement. There is some slight rubbing to the high points of the gold work. There is evidence of a colourless adhesive to the herringbone surrounding the agate. Two hair-cracks to one side of the brooch front at the hinge end (see additional image). The pin to the hinge has been re-soldered into position. There is an old test mark to the back.
