Bidding ended. Lot has been sold.

Condition Report: The interior stopper is lacking. The cap does not close tightly to the bottom of the scent bottle. It is possible that a small section is missing from the rim of the bottom part of the scent bottle. There is a garnet missing from the bottom of the back of the scent bottle. There are otherwise one or two small garnets missing from the bottom of the scent bottle. The bottom end of the scent bottle is slightly dished inwards, this is part of the original design. All the garnets are present to the hinged cap. When viewed from the back, the hinge is out of alignment and on a slight slant. At one end where is attaches to the bottom of the scent bottle, it is split and raised, at the other end where it attaches to the top of the scent bottle, it is split and raised. We have not seen any replacement stones and as far as we can say, all the stones are garnets. The height of the bottle is 8cm. The metal has not been tested by us and looks to have old gilding which is now rather dirty, particularly on the inside of the cap mounts. Weight: 48gms
