Incorporating two hinged compartments to hold postage stamps, length 11.5cm, Birmingham 1905.
Condition Report: The central knob does unscrew. We have only attempted to remove the sliver platform from the bottom but this seems very stiff. We are reluctant to persevere with this. The photograph is of a royal commemorative stamp commemorating the wedding of Princess Anne and Captain Mark Philips. The glazing to this section is missing. The other two stamps, being Edward VII one penny and half penny, are very faded. The compartments are gilded within, this is rather weak, particularly on one side. Date letter to hallmark is rather rubbed. Two corners of the silver mount are a bit dented. Width 7cm. The blackened finish to the sides of the blotter are in good condition.
