A SILVER GILT CHOCOLATE POT
Probably European 20th century, the body decorated with scrolling bands, the circular foot with a foliate band above a beaded rim, the body monogram engraved with a replacement angular handle, the detachable cover having a bud finial, height 23.5cm, gross weight 1063 gms.

Condition Report: There are no apparent marks to the chocolate pot, which appears to be in good condition. There are two screws. One to the front below the spout, the other at the back by the handle, we are uncertain as to the purpose of these but they may serve as part of an insulation process ie. like a thermos flask. The pin that holds the sliding top of the lid where the stirring rod would be inserted has been replaced. Otherwise good condition.
