Condition report:

The gilt composition mirror with numerous losses to the decorative detail issuing room the side of the frame, as to be expected with this type of mirror, age and use. 

The main losses, include: part of handle from the urn, part of tail and body of sphinx on left side, various hairbells to the swags, small parts of the scroll work, and leaf sections to the central vase. 

Various cracks to the composition; on the wire hung decoration and frame itself. General dirt, tarnishing and dust commensurate with age discolouring the decoration. Some losses to the gilding in areas. 

The bevelled mirror plate requires cleaning. Some minor oxidisation.
