The curved single-edged blade with plain copper habaki and deeply patinated iron tsuba of lobed form, the hilt unusually wrapped in thick wool cord over original fittings, the black lacquered wooden saya inset with two applied gold-painted decorative motifs in makie lacquer, likely symbolic or emblematic in nature
