A FLINTLOCK GUN BY VASSALLO OF MALTA
18th Century
With long octagonal-to-round barrel and plain walnut full stock with brass furniture, the flat lock engraved “VASSALLO” and fitted with distinctive ring-cock and roller frizzen stamped 1725, the trigger guard with acorn finial and double set trigger, overall length 155cm

Condition report; Walnut stock and forend with old damages and repairs - see photos. Trigger guard later with visible scars from where the old trigger guard was. Ramrod later, mechanism would appear to be in working order. We would not recommend using this gun unless it was first sent to Birmingham to be re-proofed.
