Original canvas; canvas is loose off the upper stretcher and undulates; scattered areas of dirt, particularly to the upper right and left border; area of exposed canvas off lower left border which appears to be intentional; minor craquelure to clouds, upper left of centre; ultraviolet reveals no sign of retouching.
