Condition report
The canvas is lined.
Craquelure visible, particularly to forehead and face.
Stretcher marks.
Evidence of possible old repair, centre left in background.
Some surface dirt and marks.

Inspection under uv light reveals suggestions of old retouching in places, such as to the forehead and face but an opaque varnish prevents further reading.
Flecks of later retouching fluorescing in background, including to centre left of sitter.
Also reveals further stretcher marks, including to upper left.
