Canvas is lined.
Craquelure.
Surface and ingrained dirt.
Varnish discoloured.
Abrasions in places such as to upper left.
Some small areas of paint loss such as to lower left and lower centre.
Paint lifting in places.
Other small spots of paint loss such as to lower right, to right of donkey's head.
Two bulges to canvas and some paint loss to right, above donkey's hind quarters.
Two small abrasions to centre in sky.
Various marks.

Inspection under uv light reveals various flecks of retouching but an opaque varnish prevents further reading.
