Condition report
The canvas has been relined; traces of stable craquelure to the sitter's face, minor paint shrinkage elsewhere. Ultraviolet reveals extensive infilling to craquelure, mainly to the background but some to the sitters face and costume. Held in a painted frame in fair condition.
